Power, I Love Thee

Dear Electricity,

I love you.  Really.  Like, I really, really, really, really love you.  I know I don't say it as often as I should.  And I know that I go for days and weeks of taking you for granted.  But not today.  Today, I am so very thankful for you and all the many things you give me.  Things like, but not limited to; lights, air conditioning, fans, cooling of the fridge and freezer, phone chargers, electric ignition gas stove, the washing machine and dryer, and my coffee grinder.

However, in the light of recent events (no pun intended), I am also thankful for batteries and a stockpile of scented candles.  I also really like the bar-be-que grill and powder drink mixes that keep me from having to open the fridge and release cool air and therefor saving my milk from spoiling.

If I ever fantasized about what it would be like to be a frontier woman......well, maybe I should just go camping more often.  For now I will remain thankful for lights that come on when I desire them to, and for ceiling fans.

Thank you again, dear Electricity, for returning to our home.  We missed you.

Your faithful user,
Deanne

I didn't think about you being out there in the power outage! Last night we saw on the news about all the power out there in southern, CA, etc and kinda chuckled at the person that forgot to "turn on the power." :) Glad you're up and running again!
