Holy mach-ah-moley! Has it really been over two weeks since my last post???!!! Well, we've been busy with traveling to and from Modesto, past the US border and back, as well as a fun-filled week of VBS and other activities. Whew, I just haven't had time to get over here and record all that's been going on.
Our time in Mexico was, um, nice. I wish I could say it was fabulous, but I just can't. To start with it was stinkin' hot. Let me say that again, STINKIN' HOT!!! Hot as in, my glasses fogged up every time I stepped out of our air conditioned hotel and into the humid outside. Hot as in, I could feel every layer of material I was wearing and wear it touched me. Hot as in, there are places of my body that sweat that I had no idea could do so (ie, my elbows, when they are not even bent!) Yeah. It was that kind of hot.
Humidity aside, we did enjoy our time away without the kids. It was great to relax by the pool and talk, uninterrupted. Or just chill in the water and not talk, that was nice too! I even finished a book and started another, all in the span of 5 days. Now that's just unheard of. And it was great!
Now, however, I am recouping from not only our vacation but also this past week when the kids were at VBS. But unfortunately I don't feel like writing it all out. Maybe I'll post some more tid bits throughout the week. I'll try, but no promises.

When we went to Hawaii for our honeymoon (in August!) it was hot like that. But then again, we didn't really mind staying in the hotel room for the week...
