Do you remember the movie "While You Were Sleeping"? Lucy was a wanna-be traveler and had her heart set on getting a stamp in her passport, among other things. Well, today I became a 'Lucy'. I am now a proud owner of a passport and have dreams of filling it up, or at least getting one stamp.
Next summer Ryan and I hope to travel together to Spain when he does his yearly research trip. We have lots of details to figure out before then but getting my passport was essential. Now that I have it, I know I am one step closer to a trip away with my husband (no kids allowed!). Like I said, there are plenty of details, but for now I am dreaming of that solitary stamp in a very specific location!

How exciting to travel the world....without kids! :D
It's always fun to have something to look forward to! and without kids - like a second honeymoon!
Oh, I hope you get to go! Spain sounds lovely!
My passport has 2 years left before it expires, I need to do some more traveling!
A passport makes me feel like a grown up! And don't the new ones look cool w/all the Americana pictures and quotes?
Can't wait to hear all about Spain!
I wanna come! I've never had a passport. I'm green with envy! Post lotsa pictures of Spain when you go.
buen viaje
How long did it take to process??
We HAVE to get passports for all of our family being here in Alaska. If we ever have to drive out of here or drive back home from CA if the planes were grounded again like Sept. 11, we wouldn't be able to because we don't have passports for after we went through Canada....we don't plan to drive anytime soon so we've really procrastated....
Another Lucy checking in. My hubby has been all over the globe: Brazil, Argentina, China, Japan... But I can say that I've been to Canada and Mexico (of course that was before passports were required). I need to get mine and start planning a little getaway... I'm thinking that June, 2011 looks good (Yeah, I'm boringly realistic)
I've been considering getting myself a passport. Just in case...You never know when you might just need to hop on over to Japan or something...
How awesome!!! Hope you find a sitter.
