Post-Party Blues

Summer is coming and today I am really feeling it. And not so much in a good way either. Today I hosted a little gathering at my house for the ladies in my bible study group. Last week was the last session of the season as we break for the summer. And in attempts to stretch out meeting with the wonderful ladies in my group I came up with the idea to have one last social gathering before we called it quits for the summer. Now I really have to face the fact that it's over. It's really really over! No more weekly bible study lessons and discussing the things we learned or encouraging each other. No more. None.

Now I'm just a little bit sad.

However, I must admit that one new friend (from the bible study group) and I plan to meet each week. The idea is to do some informal bible study so that we can stay in a routine of being in The Word as well as praying for each other and encourage and challenge each other as needed.

So I suppose I can't be too sad, now can I?

Ooo, love the new look!

Maybe you need to have a 'girls' night out' now instead?

I think if you and your friend are open to it, I'd like to join you sometime.
Don't be sad...Lolly loves you!

I feel this way about all of my television shows ending...but that really isn't as spiritually significant as Bible Study is it? ;)

Great idea to stick with something through the summer-keeps turning to The Word a regular habit.

I understand your emotions. I am proud of you for sticking to a study with a friend during the summer. I am also so happy to hear that you have someone to do it with. What a great way to build two relationships at the same time.

Miss ya!

I feel ya. I just started a new study for the summer with a new group of girls, and I'm so glad not to be on my own spiritually the whole summer long!

(D just pointed at the computer screen and said, "Bubbles puter!" He likes your new look, too!)

I may be envious. I am praying about something of spiritual significance for the summer, but I don't know what that is.
