YouTube Tuesday - Yosemite!

When we were camping last week we took a hike to the bottom of Vernal Falls. When we got to our turn around spot we stopped and took a nice rest before heading back down. As we rested, snacked and replenished our water supply we noticed the local wildlife and how unafraid the squirrels were (and lets not forget the dive-bombing blue jays!). The squirrels were close to being tame and you could almost touch them! In this video that my brother shot, his friend Bryan was seeing how close he could get to touching a squirrel.

I can't believe our camping trip has come and gone already. We had a blast!!! I loved the slide show you posted and will try to get pictures to you before the week ends. I may try to post them on the google site or snapfish, or will send you a cd.

Man alive, that video makes me nervous! The squirrels at Arlington Cemetery in DC are very tame too. One day, we were walking around and saw a German tourist teasing a squirrel by holding something up above it's nose to get it to stand up. The squirrel played along for a while, then totally chomped that guy's hand. So much blood! EEK

That squirrel can jump!

Cool video.

Did you know there are no squirrels in Hawaii? But we do have mongoose. (mongeese?)
