There you see it...
Now you don't!
As Caleb would put it, it was his best day ever! The day began with a little trip to an apple orchard and lunch in a quaint little town (that consequently has some fabulous apple pie!). As we were heading to lunch, Caleb made the discovery that he had a loose tooth, his first one. He let me wiggle it, and sure enough he had himself a loose tooth. And by the feel of it I thought it would be about a month before it came out.
I was wrong.
Caleb wiggled it all day. And I was amazed that by the end of the day it was quite a bit looser than when it was first discovered. In fact, I moved up the timeline from one month to the end of the weekend!
Later that night, before bedtime, Caleb was sitting in my lap as we watched a little tv. He let me wiggle it again and I had to change my prediction one more time. This time I told him it was ready to come out. He wanted to know why it wasn't out yet. Well, he'd have to pull it. That's why. But it hurt, he said. Only for a second, then it'd be over, I told him. Had he tried to twist it?, I asked. No, he said. Then he fiddled with it a little more, then sure enough in his hand was his tooth!!!
Caleb was so excited! He says it was the best day of his life. How can I argue? Loosing a tooth in one day is pretty exciting! I only hope he gets to sleep before the sun rises so I can do the tooth/treat swap!

Congratulations, Caleb! What a cutie pie!
That was fast. Good job Caleb!
We're on for pumpkins and chili. Sounds yummy.
how cute. Calvin was just asking when his teeth would fall out. I had to say I don't know! What treat did he get?
Wow I can't believe it Caleb has lost his first tooth. Way-to-go Caleb! Guess you really are a big boy now.
Love you toooooo much
Grandma Rager
How fun!! I also want to know what Caleb got from the tooth fairy
So funny. You must have gone to Julian on Saturday. Will and I went the same day because I was so stir crazy from being sick all week. Did you pick your own apples at one of the orchards? We did that and then bought ourselves a strawberry rhubarb pie. Yum!
