I don't know why, but we have a nasty amount of flies in our house! As of Saturday there are many new tenants up,about, and around the house. I know I have a couple small holes in some of the window screens, but seriously the holes shouldn't be allowing in this many flies! That brings me to my next train of thought....did something hatch in the house to give way to so many?? (this is a totally gross thought and I don't really want to go in that direction, so I choose to blame the holes it the screens).
A friend and I were talking about this subject the other day and I come to find that my house is not the only one plagued with these flying nasties. She suggested that it may have something to do with the time of year, due to the fact that she remembered the same problem this time last year. Whatever the reason, enough is enough and I'm so over it!
I am now armed with my swatter and bug spray. Let the carnage commence.....operation Fly Bye is underway!

We pay a quarter for every dead fly body - must be killed not found dead. Gets rid of the flies fast and keeps the kiddos busy.

It does seem like there are more flies around this year, and they are AGGRESSIVE, I do believe...Ickiness!!! And sometimes they do hatch, and then there are suddenly a whole swarm of them somewhere; we had that in our garage a couple of years ago, any my parents had that happen a few months ago in their house. They're easy to get rid of with a fly swatter, though, and they don't come back. Then you just have to swat off the new ones that come.
BTW, the 1st song on your playlist was written by Charlie Peacock, and he spoke at our church 2 weeks ago, and it was AMAZING! I loved it so much.
Still waiting for a "fly free" day! Not having much food out seems to be helping.
We seem to have lots of flies in the fall. Cooler nights seem to drive them inside. My mother-in-law is obsessed with killing them, another yucky job I get to delegate.
I do like the reward idea tho.
Oh the flies.
They make my skin crawl.
It made me feel better to know that it isn't just my house.
So true about more flies around the same time in the summer. We are having the same battle over here as we did this time last year. They drive me nuts!!!!!!!
we've had tons of flies the last couple of weeks -- although today wasn't as bad with the cooler weather.
