New Style Needed

You know when it's time to change your hair style when........your husband and hair stylist say that you have a mullet.

What??! No I don't!

Well, my hair doesn't look it's best right before a hair cut. And I didn't try very hard today when I was getting ready for the day. I knew I was going to get my hair cut today so why should I spend lots of time making it just right when the lady is just going to wash it again? *sigh* Fine. Now I have to find a new hair style that doesn't make me look like I'm a throw back to the eighties.

Any suggestions?

I think your hair looks young a hip. Once I tried to have cute short hair and it really did look like a mullet. I cried for about 6 months.

Good luck getting your hair cut - do you have a hair dresser there that you like? I am hoping to be able to get my hair highlighted and trimmed next week before my hair-girl has a baby.

According to your picture, I think your hair looks fine. I've tried to go more short and sassy lately. (Differrent from my picture. I should probably update that.) Somedays I like it, other days I don't. Maybe you would like it more with highlights, although that is something that I have yet to try. Whatever you decide let us know! :)

Ladies...the pic on my blog is about right. When it gets close to hair cuttin' time it is a bit longer, and, to me, shaggy. In the pic you see, it is just about how I like it, not too short or long. The hair dresser I went to today said that it was flat in the back, which gives way to mulletness. Wendy, I have found a place to get my hair cut, it's called, get this, the Hair Cut Store. Isn't that funny? It sounds like I get my hair cut at Wal-Mart or something! :) Two differnt ladies have cut my hair there and I liked them both, I will continue to go there. I'm thinking an A-line 'do', but it tends to elongate my face, so it may not work...that and hair hanging on the sides of my face may bug the crap out of me! *sigh* I don't know!!! But thanks for your encouragement! Hair issues man....it's tough being a chick someitmes.

Hair issues...I'm having some of my own. I want a change, but not a drastic one, but can never decide what I want. I also need to decide what to do about my grown-out highlights. Plus, my friend who cuts hair just moved away, so I have to find somewhere to go! EEK

I think your hair looks cute in your picture - not a mullett! Have you tried flipping it up in the back for kind of a Meg Ryan do? It looks like your hair is cut in that style so maybe that's how you always do it and I jsut can't tell in the picture. Good luck!

Mary~ Yes, I flip my hair out in the back. At least that is the effect I am going for. :)

I have the same hairstyle I've had for at least 10 years...it's getting grayer though. I'm a brunette who flirted with being a blond in my 20's so I NEVER want to color my hair again. My husband teases me that when I didn't need to color my hair, I did and now that I'm going gray, I won't! Maybe the dye bottle will come out again if someone asks me if my children are my grandchildren! =)
