I've been watching the Olympics with the rest of the world these past few days and I've noticed a couple things that I can't quite find an answer for. Maybe my loyal readers (all two of you) can help shed some light?? Here goes....
* Why do the women's beach volleyball players wear skimpy bikinis while the men's team have full-length shorts with sleeveless shirts? Seriously, why is that??! (oh, and I'm not all that interested in watching the ladies 'readjust' their bikini bottoms after every jump or dive. ewe.)
* Has anyone noticed the guys with the video cameras, the ones taping the events, that wear the blue tunics with Chinese characters written on them along with the word 'Bob'? Does 'Bob' mean something once translated, or do all the videograophers happen to have that name? (or some odd communist standard that all males with the name Bob must be trained in the art of video taking?) Strange.

And why women's beach volleyball is on all the time and men's is hard to find. Maybe something to do with who is watching.
And Bob? I haven't seen him, but I must look now. The Chinese are more advanced than un on somethings, maybe they're cloning.
Chris thinks that it's a family that has passed videography down through the generations and is like George Foreman and everyone in the family is named Bob.
Hmmmm
Jen...I've noticed 'Bob' more when I am watching the diving or gymnastics events.
It's a well known rule of sports that there must be sex involved somehow. Think of a sport, if it's women's their uniforms are too small. If it's men's there's scantily clad women somewhere in the vicinity. Cheerleaders, dancers, in dirtbiking/motorcross they have "umbrella girls".
We got rid of cable just in time for Olympics (great planning, huh?), so I haven't seen Bob, but I've been looking for him. Glad to know he's enjoying himself.
I have seen like 2 seconds of the olympics, because all I really like is women's gymnastics...so I can't answer your questions... but I think they're good questions!
One simple answer is that no one wants to see the men in speedo's...EW! But still, the discrepancy...Hmmmm
I like watching women's volleyball better than men's. The bikinis are kind of interesting but I guess it's just the beach! Havn't seen bob. Funny!
I think it's the communist thing.
LOL!
Maddie and I are laughing at this post. I've been complaining all week about the ladies volleyball "uniforms" or lack thereof! At least they're not in thong bikinis!
