Today is a lovely, dreary, rainy day. And I am so thankful. The weather here has been warm for way too long. When I have been craving chilly days with cozy sweaters I have been donning t-shirts and capris. Now I love capris and sandals but it time to break out the cool weather wardrobe! And today is the day!
I love rainy days. In fact, when I was a teenager, I would pray for days leading up to my birthday that it would be a dreary rainy day. I don't recall it raining too much on that day, but then I moved to Portland. It rained a lot there, though not as much as I thought it would. I think after moving there I must have stopped praying for rainy birthdays. I can't remember the last time I asked for a rainy birthday.
But here I am today in a thankful mood over rain. Do you know what makes a rainy day even more perfect???....a nice cozy nap. And yes, I was able to partake in that as well on this very fine day. I breathe a contented sigh as I feel that all is right in my world, now that I've had a delicious nap under rainy skies.

There is something about a cloudy, rainy day isn't there! Glad you got a nap too! :)
I'm a big nap fan too! But if I were to take a nap every time it rained here...I'd be sleeping all day every day! Sounds like you had a great day - sounds like you just needed some soup to make it perfect!
