Some things have changed since I was a kid. Others haven't, at least not by much. I heard Isabel singing this little song today. For other than obvious reasons, it made me stop and really listen.
Beans, beans. They're good for your heart.
The more you eat, the more you fart.
The more you fart, the more you laugh.
The more you laugh, the better you feel.
Let's have beans for every meal!
When I was a kid it went a bit differently. But given the subject matter, well, um, I'm spare the differences. I'll just say that when I was a kid it was a wee less crass. I'm not sure how or why my sweet baby girl is singing about such things. Oh well, I'm sure she'll grow out of it soon (I don't hold such allusions for my son, however. I know things haven't changed that much.
