Thanksgiving Table

This was our table for Thanksgiving this year.  There are a few things to note about this table.  At least, things that I will always remember.

- the table was set for 12 (plus a highchair), 8 adults, 4 kids.
- the first year we were able to host my parents!
- we had a bbq turkey and ham
- and lots of other good food (I'm quite proud of the cornbread stuffing and cranberry compote I made)
- my mom helped with the table settings, she brought the gold chargers and made the place cards
- I got to use my crystal stemware! (most of them have been in boxes since we got married....that's 15 years of storage!)
- the meal was timed to perfection.  All meat and dishes were done when planned, and all guests present.  Per. fect. timing!

The major plus to hosting Thanksgiving is all the leftovers.  Yum!  But most of all I will remember this year as the year we hosted a big family Thanksgiving.  I am very thankful.
