I lack any creative juices today and my life is too dull at the moment to bore you with details. So, I am consulting our daily trivia calender for today's post. The calender is called 'Fact or Crap', and this is what you do....read the statement and decide whether it is true or not. The answer is given on the back side of the days page. Without further ado, here is today's statement:
Johann Sebastian Bach composed a cantata about coffee.
Fact? Or crap?
Ok, now no cheating! No doing an online search . No Wickipedia. Just give me your best shot, your best guess.
Sorry, no prizes, this is just for fun. I will post the answer in the comments later tonight.

Hi, still checking out the utlimate blog party blogs. My guess is "crap". Will check back for the answer!
I think Starbucks would have already picked up on that, so I say FALSE.
Hmmm...I'm going to be crazy and go against the popular vote and say FACT! My Lindsey makes up songs about her juice ("Juice, juice, juice, I waaant some juice..."), so Mr. Bach is allowed to write about his coffee.
I am going to say False as well. I think Amanda, who by the way must be brilliant and all because of her name, is onto something. Starbucks would totally have rolled with this.
Way to go Mary!!!
Answer: FACT ....Coffee was popular in Bach's day and the Kaffee-Kantante ("Coffee Cantata") reflects that popularity. The operetta tells the story of a father who can't get his daughter to stop drinking coffee. Eventually, she promises to stop long enough to find a husband, but privately vows that her future groom must sign a contract stating that she can drink as much java as she wants. Christian Friedrich Henrici wrote the libretto. Here's a sample: "If I can't drink my bowl of coffee three time daily, then in my torment I will shrivel up like a piece of roast goat."
There you have it! I think you ladies are onto something....Starbucks needs to brush up on the classics! :)
I was too late - and I knew that one! ~lol~ That'll teach me to take a day off!
I was guessing Fact, then was too late too. You're on the ball! I'm having trouble finding time to blog these days. Baby and Mommy are sick, and he needs held lots more than normal. Thanks for visiting my page. Have you tried making your own bran muffins yet?
Darn, I was too late to give my guess. Um, ya..I was gonna say True :P
Stinkin time difference...
Bummer.
