(this post will remain at the top of my blog until Friday, so don't forget to check beneath for newer posts this week! You don't want to miss out on all the fun stuff!)
I've joined the party! Come on in, I think it will be fun!!! Ok, so who am I?? My name is Deanne and I have been married to my fabulous husband for over ten years. I am also a mother to 3 small kids. Mae, who is 5 (entered kindergarten this year!), Caleb is 4 and Isabel is 19 months. Yep, I'm a busy one. I have the privilege to stay home with them in hope to raise them to be loving children of God. What a challenge this is! My mother made it look so easy, maybe because she's so good at it, or maybe because I was such a wonderful and perfect child? I'm thinking she was just good at what she does! *big grin*I grew up in California and since being married I have relocated 4 times! My journey started with a move to San Jose, CA after I got married. From there we moved to Portland, OR where he got his first job out of college. Then we jumped over to Michigan for a few years, and now we are back in California! Whew, what a ride we've been on! Going through all our moves and the situations that come with and within them, I have grown more dependent on the Lord for all things. I'm a work in progress, so don't go thinking I've learned it all. I'm just a little California girl working through my relationship with my Lord. My one goal in life right now is that my children will see Christ in me and will one day have their own love and relationship with Him.
My purpose for this blog was initially to give a way for my family and friends to stay connected with my life. However, I have been blessed by the many friendships I have made since starting. I think having this blog gives me the opportunity to 'talk' about daily things in my life that I might not otherwise have the chance to say since I hardly know anyone in this new place that we live. Amazingly, I feel connected with other moms in a way I never expected. I love it!! I am a blogging addict. My name is Deanne, and I love to blog.
My hobbies include; blogging (of course!), reading (mostly Christian Fiction), stamping (love to make cards!), selling misc stuff on Ebay (ebay is my friend, when the selling ends well), and just plain ol' being crafty and creative.
**Here's an incentive to post a comment in today's post. At the end of the Blog Party, I will randomly choose a 'winner' from those who post a comment to this post and the winner will recieve 5 handmade cards! So go on, introduce yourself and say hola!

Thank you for inviting me to your party. Would love to get to know you better :) I have a 3-1/2 yr old son and a 16 month old daughter. It's so nice having mommy friends with children going through the same EVERYTHING as you. Keep on having a great party. Blessings!
Fun! I like you already. I'm a sahm w/ a 1 year old, been married 8 years and have lived in 5 states since being married. Can't wait to read more about you!
Hi Deanne, fun party! I think I've known you since you were about 4? We spent many afternoons playing on our swingset, roller skating, making up secret 'girls only clubs' and playing Night Rider (yikes, did we really do that?) But then we grew up and moved far away, even though you were in Portland and we weren't too far away. And now we get to catch up on our daily lives and what happened between when we were little until now. It is so fun to know you again!

I would have said hello anyway, but 5 free cards..why can resist that! You have a very nice blog here. Come on by and visit mine if you get the chance!
Hey there Deanne, thanks for stopping by my blog, I was reading yours, and I agree it is good for our husbands to read and get to know more of us from our blog. I just wish mine would take more time for me. *sigh* sorry, hopefully we'll be talking again soon.

Thanks for stopping by my blog Deanne! Sounds like we have a lot in common. I bet you do like the weather there in CA, though Michigan is nice too (I lived in MI until I was 12).
We like a lot of the same authors!! :o)
Hi Deanne...lovely to "meet" you today! Thanks for popping by my blog. I really appreciated your "testimonial"...thanks for sharing! My husband and I have moved alot too...it's not really fun for me. It's hard to pick up and start fresh but you are SO right, it really does kick us back to dependence upon the Lord instead of our "comfort zone". Blessed to meet you...have a fantastic weekend! Party on girl! :)
"Hi, I'm Proverbs31, and I'm a blogging addict, too." ;)
You're right, you are a busy mom! Thanks for inviting us over for the party. Had a blast and see ya next time! :D
You are far too young- and hip-looking to have 3 children! When I had three that age, I looked like a wrung-out dish rag.
Fun party, eh?
Loverly to meetcha! I could do with some handmade cards, since my stamping and scrapping supplies are buried in dust by now. Can't seem to find the time...
Dropping in from teh Blog Party, saying hello, look for freebies (just kidding). Come on over to The Estrogen Files sometime!
I can relate to all the moving! My family moved all the time when I was growing up... So funny.. we lived in CA... then OR.. then CA.. then WV.. now I live in OH. LOL! It's nice to "meet" you!
Swinging in for the Ultimate blog party. Nice to meet ya.
PARTY ON!!!
My first party favor giveaway has begun. Come over when ya get a chance.
I love that you have three exclamation marks next to the LPM blog on your sidebar! I am a huge fan of Beth's too!
My husband works for eBay as a consultant and I still have a hard time selling things! I have a funny story--I had a Lance Armstong Build-a Bear costume and I wanted to sell it. I thought I would bid against myself to get the price up. Why I wanted to do that is beyond me. It backfired and I had to "buy" my own sale. lol
I love Everyday Mommy too!
Hi my name is Amanda and I am a blogoholic too. Cute post, fun to get to "know" you better. :D
Hi, nice party! And I'd love a shot at hand made cards! I don't have time to do that right now, I have 7 kids! I do have time to blog, but that doesn't come with leaving things out that the kids would mess up or lose, lol.
I've moved all over since getting married. We started in Minnesota then 3 homes in Germany, 1 in MN, 1 in VA, 3 more in MN. We are here to stay, and hopefully stay in this house for a very long time!
Cute Deanne. It has been fun getting to know you again after knowing you as a little kid. Your blog is always so fun and uplifting!
I can't pass up the chance for 5 handmade cards!!! =)
I clicked on you name to see if, by chance, you might be a Deanne from my sil's church. You aren't but I'm glad I came!!!
I am slowly getting into scrapping and stamping. I've found that card-making is a great way to get started! And it's so nice to be able to whip up a simple card instead of going to the store. One of these days I'll learn to do the fun embellishments...
:-)
You're so smart! I still haven't thought up a prize to offer on my blog. Maybe some crocheted dishcloths or something along those lines. I think I'll stick with something intangible though and save on postage.
I learned a lot about you from that post and I've been coming here for awhile now!
Saw you at my party, thanks for stopping by! I enjoyed checking out your blog!
Hey there, hot stuff! Great party! I think I missed the contest, and that's ok. I just stopped by to say 'hi'! Have a great day!
So nice to meet you--I saw you have a daughter named Mae--that was my mom's name! She passed away 19 years ago but both of my sisters named one of their daughters after her--by using Mae as their middle name. I love to make cards too. I have a ton of stamps and I enjoy embossing. I don't get much time to do it though! So glad to visit with you...
Great part you have here! Sign me up for 5 of your handmade cards! I also love to make cards and am planning on making all my thank you cards for my wedding! I'm crazy I think!

Hi! Thanks for the invite! For cornbread, we always use Aunt Jemima's self rising cornmeal and then add eggs and buttermilk. Make sure to melt crisco in the cast iron pan first and then pour in your batter. Very southern and very delicious!
Have fun at the party!
